SOUTHEAST ASIA UNION FOR WATER, ENVIRONMENT AND GEOSCIENCES (SEAGU) is a Vietnam-based global platform to share and co-create innovative solutions with particular emphasis on water, environment and geosciences issues in Vietnam, Mekong and Southeast Asia nations. Under the auspice of the United States-ASEAN Science & Technology Fellow Association and of Vietnam, International Society of Groundwater for Sustainable Development (ISGSD) and other partners, SEAGU has been developed since 2012 and gathered stakeholders from global and local institutes around the world to share research, education and business opportunities, and showcase the latest water innovations toward sustainable development in Vietnam and the region.
The primary goal of SEAGU is to address water, environment, and geosciences related issues in the region innovatively and sustainably through linking science and practice across disciplines, sectors, and nations while strengthening local capacity by promoting excellence in education and scientific research.
What we do
The SEAGU ’s three key strategic thrusts are:
- A global hub for knowledge sharing, networking and business connect in fields of water, environment and geosciences (Conect@hub)
- An global institute of advanced learning for professionals and communities connect in fields of water, environment and geosciences (Education)
- A global center for R&D, inovation and incubator in fields of water, environment and geosciences (Co-production Stories)
